about

An eerily-cool jazzy track.

lyrics

One dark evening, like waves on the sea
A quiet voice in a million tongues came lilting over the breeze
Not sure if it was myself, I'm easily deceived
But the night was listening to my heart, it didn't care what I believed

So many faces, so so, many eyes
So many faces, all part of the same disguise

Well the stars above traveled 'round paths their patterns made
An easy light from the waxing moon through weeping willows said
All that is within you, is really empty space
Even if your body's still, you're still, movin' on your way

And though there's a million faces, the form is the same
And everything that life replaces it erases only in name, there are

So many faces, so so, many ways
So many faces, all with something to say

Well I heard one day the rivers stood still not sure, where to go
The mountains grew up until they touched, the feet of a flying crow
And in his eyes was the blackness of the valley down below
When he opened his mouth all the stars poured out and the morning sun arose
And at that dawn I saw that light in every story there is truth
The million faces of god are easy to see, but it's very hard to prove

And though there's a million forms, the essence is singular
Shadows dance in a fire's warmth, but there's no one sitting there

There are, so many faces, so so many eyes
So many faces all part of the same disguise.
